Sahaayta provides holistic, confidential, culturally appropriate counselling and support services for individuals, couples, families, youth, children and seniors. They also run support groups (Women's groups, Anger Management groups & Personal Development groups) periodically.

Counselling and Social Support Services
Whilst they work with all cultures, genders and religions, their primary focus remains the safety well-being of South-Asian migrant and refugee families. They provide culturally appropriate counselling for:

» Elderly
They provide general counselling in Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Dutch, Afrikaans and English with issues relating to:
» Migration and settling in
» Grief and loss
» Anger
» Self esteem
» Relationships
» Conflict resolution
» Stress
» Anxiety
» Depression
» Domestic Violence and Abuse
» Trauma
» Communication
They offer periodical seminars, workshops and groups which can also be run on request for groups of at least 6 people for a small donation (for example: Anger Management groups, Women's groups and Personal Development groups).
They network with and provide information on appropriate community organisations and help with accessing these services (legal services, budgeting, food parcels, specialist services etc.).
Fees apply for counselling services. There is a sliding scale depending on income. You can discuss payment options with your counsellor. They can help you apply for WINZ counselling subsidy if you are eligible.
