Mahi Marumaru AOD Peer Support

Mahi Marumaru is a mobile peer service supporting people to recover from alcohol and other drug harm. The English translation for Mahi Marumaru is ‘many people working together’. All Peer Support Workers have their own lived experience of addiction and personal journey of recovery.

Their Peer Support group meets every Wednesday from 1pm to 2pm. Walk-ins are welcome. They are temporarily located in Te Moana Room in Friendship House at 20 Putney Way, Manukau City.

Anyone aged 18-65 living in the Counties Manukau Health region is eligible for this service. We prefer self-referrals but will accept introductions from clinicians, other services and family.

Contact Mahi Marumaru’s Team Manager David for more information on 021 393 347 or david.cutten@ember.org.nz
