Mahi Marumaru is a mobile peer support service for people seeking change in their relationship with alcohol or other drugs. Its name means “many people working together.”

Peer Support Workers draw on their own lived experience of alcohol or other drug harm and recovery to walk alongside people on their own journey. Support is available to people aged 18–65 who live in Counties Manukau.

People are encouraged to contact Mahi Marumaru directly. With their knowledge and consent, whānau, clinicians and other services can also help connect them with the team.

Weekly Alcohol and Other Drug Peer Support Group

This welcoming, peer-led group is for people exploring recovery or making changes in their relationship with alcohol or other drugs. There is no need to book—people are welcome to come along.
