‘Elm Street’ is Auckland’s only residential, non-medical alcohol and drug detoxification centre. The centre provides professional, confidential advice, support and advocacy. Staff facilitate group educational sessions, provide access to community and recreational services and run relaxation workshops.

Connect Supporting Recovery and Salvation Army have partnered to provide New Zealand’s only AOD Respite and Treatment Service. Peer Support and AOD Clinicians available. Integrating components of the Community Reinforcement Approach with Intentional Peer Support. We will offer timeout respite and treatment while keeping people connected to their community. Up to 14 days per visit. 18-65 years. Must have current Counties Manukau address. Referral comes through Alcohol and other drug providers

Salvation Army Bridge Programme

We provide a safe, integrated, high-quality treatment service to people whose lives have been affected by the harmful use of, or dependency on alcohol or drugs. You will be supported, challenged and encouraged to make positive changes in your life so that you can find hope, direction, peace and stability. Three-month inpatient and/or outpatient programme.

Higher Ground Drug Rehabilitation Trust

We provide rehabilitation programmes that are based on 12 Step recovery principles. We believe the spiritual dimensions of honesty, open-mindedness, willingness, faith, hope, respect and generosity are the foundations of healing. We emphasise that clients need to take individual responsibility for their recovery. Eighteen-week programme.

Odyssey- Changing Lives

Within the residential programme, we provide medical and psychiatric assessment and treatment, cultural activities, individual and group counselling and education groups. We also help you to make long-term employment and education plans, develop your family support network and learn parenting skills.

A Girl Called Hope
A structured six-month residential programme provided free of charge for young women aged 16 to 28 years who face issues such as addiction, depression, disordered eating, self-harm, suicidal ideation and unplanned pregnancy. We exist to provide a future full of hope and potential to every young woman – to show them that they are valued, purposed and above all have a reason to live.

Raukura Hauora O Tainui – Te Ara Hou

The programme offered at Te Ara Hou is a 26-week residential programme modelled on a Maori world-view (kaupapa Maori) Model of Practice named Te Toi o Matariki (the “awakening”).  Te Toi Matariki works on the concepts that in order to realise your need to make a change, one must understand who they are as an individual, then as Maori, then their cultural value base.

Wings Trust

Pre-treatment and post-treatment residential program.  Wings Trust maintains close professional relationships with other AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) treatment providers in the Auckland region that support the safe therapeutic transition for clients between services. Counsellors and groups are available. Regular 12-step meetings are mandatory.
