DRIVE’s Consumer Council

One of the core reasons for DRIVE’s existence is to represent and promote the voice of lived experience. To this end we will be creating a Consumer Council. A group of DRIVE network members who will represent the voice of lived experience in spaces where decisions are made.

We realise this is a tall order. Support and training will be built into the structure of the group. There are many new initiatives being birthed at this time that we want our members to benefit from not only as service users but as decision makers. If this interests you please make yourselves known to the DRIVE team.

Who is eligible?

Anyone can join our network as a supporter. However, to be eligible for the Consumer Council you must live in Counties Manukau and have lived experience of recovery from mental distress or addiction to alcohol or other drugs. To join the network click here
